Featured in México Design – Edición 63
Our Sassafras Cape Barren Goose Serving Board was featured in México Design Edición 63. México Design is an independent magazine dedicated to design, presenting architecture and interior design projects through a careful, open and eclectic approach. Each edition highlights creative work that excites the editors, featuring ideas from Mexico and from across the world.
This edition showcased our Sassafras Cape Barren Goose Serving Board, a handcrafted piece made from Tasmanian Blackheart Sassafras. The design is inspired by the native Cape Barren Goose, a protected Australian species. A polished pewter goose head forms the handle, functioning as both a sculptural element and a practical way to lift or pass the board.
The serving board is versatile and can be used for antipasto, cheese, sushi or general entertaining. The smooth finish and dramatic grain patterns highlight the natural beauty of Blackheart Sassafras, while the long silhouette gives the piece a contemporary presence on the table. Generously sized and thoughtfully made, it brings a balance of practicality and style to both casual meals and special occasions.
The inclusion of the Sassafras Cape Barren Goose Serving Board in México Design reflects the magazine’s appreciation for thoughtful craftsmanship and distinctive design. The combination of sculptural pewter and striking Blackheart Sassafras creates a functional piece suited to modern entertaining and artisanal interiors.
