Our Premium range of walking sticks features unique, one-off pieces with the emphasis on rare native timbers and character. What we mean by this is that the individual characteristics of the timber such as knots and cracks become a feature, specifically, of the handle.  The Japanese have a word for this type of natural imperfection called wabi-sabi and it is most highly prized because it is organic and carries the life and history of that piece of timber. The shafts while still exhibiting beautiful figuring in the timber, are all solid and uniform in grain, providing solid and reliable support.

We think that these walking sticks are closer to the hand-made sticks that your grandfather made from a good branch that he found and importantly, the stick you see in the photos is the actual stick you will receive.
